Skills plugin

The nifdi skills plugin packages a nifdi MCP server with an Agent Skill for creating and editing diagrams. The MCP server supplies the tools; the skill teaches the agent how to use them well.

Its guidance covers diagram structure, layout, labels, styling, connectors, and a render-and-review loop. That makes it the recommended option for supported clients: the agent can both operate nifdi and apply the conventions needed to produce a clear diagram.

The plugin comes in two forms, with the same skill:

Plugin Works on Account
nifdi the cloud diagrams in your nifdi account, through the hosted MCP server nifdi Pro
nifdi-local .nifdi.svg files on your own machine, through the local MCP server none

In Claude Code:

Terminal window
claude plugin marketplace add nifdi-app/nifdi-plugin
claude plugin install nifdi@nifdi-plugin

Then run /mcp in a new session and sign in to nifdi. For local files, install nifdi-local@nifdi-plugin instead. You can install both, and the skill tells the agent which to use for what.

See the plugin’s README for Codex and other clients, and example prompts. If your client supports Agent Skills but not plugins, you can install the skill directory and configure the hosted or local MCP server separately.
