What is a nifdi?

A nifdi is a small, flat, silicon-based animal with 8 legs and 8 eyes. Adult nifdis grow to about 1 µm wide (including legs). Generally a nifdi will keep its eyes closed most of the time, so you will not see the eyes in many pictures.
