Plans

nifdi has two plans, Free and Pro. The pricing page is the authoritative list of what each includes and what Pro costs. This page explains what the difference means in the editor.

Free is for diagrams you keep yourself:

  • unlimited diagrams stored in your browser or in files on your machine;
  • the local MCP server, so an agent can draw on your machine;
  • PNG and SVG export;
  • a Git-friendly file format, with clean diffs and merges;
  • the searchable AWS, Azure and Google Cloud icon libraries.

A Free account cannot create cloud diagrams. It can still open and edit a cloud diagram that a Pro user has shared with it, with the permission the owner gave.

Pro adds everything that needs nifdi’s servers:

  • Cloud diagrams, unlimited and subject to fair use. You can open them from any device. See Where diagrams are stored.
  • Real-time collaboration in the cloud, with live cursors and edits that merge.
  • Sharing with named people, including people on the Free plan. They do not need Pro to work on a diagram you share with them. See Sharing.
  • The hosted MCP server, so an agent can reach your cloud diagrams from anywhere. See Hosted MCP.

Pro costs USD 10 a month, or USD 96 a year, which is USD 8 a month. Prices are per user and include any VAT or sales tax that applies.

Billing and cancelling covers buying Pro, paying, cancelling, refunds, and what happens to your cloud diagrams when Pro ends.

Your plan, billing, privacy choices, data export and connected agents are in your account settings rather than here, because they are actions rather than reference. The editor’s account menu links to them.

Plan & billing, at /account/plan, shows your plan and when it renews, and opens Paddle’s billing portal for your payment method, invoices and cancellation.

Privacy, at /account/privacy, turns product analytics on or off, and Notifications, at /account/notifications, turns tips and news by email on or off. See Product analytics and Emails we send.

Connected agents, at /account/agents, lists every agent you have connected to the hosted MCP server, with when it connected and when it was last used. Disconnecting one stops it on its next request; to use it again, connect it again from the agent. See Connected agents.
